Bob and I discovered success through hard work and realizing the upcoming positive trends in the fitness and preventive health care businesses. With an MBA from Northwestern University, more than 25 years of experience in corporate planning and business development and by being one of the owners of Life Fitness (makers of Lifecycle and the world largest exercise equipment companies), Bob experienced the power and financial reward of owning "a piece of the action" with a ground floor opportunity in an exploding market. Very few people working for someone else in Corporate America ever have the opportunity to be in this position.
I'm a former college professor, coach, sales/marketing professional, and pioneer in preventive healthcare. I founded of my own consulting business based on my doctoral work, that of teaching hospitals and corporate executives to integrate preventive healthcare into their business and capitalize on the investment. In today's society, we all want to look better and feel younger. We want the responsibility to make our own medical decisions, choose between prescription drugs and natural alternatives and spend our "health care" allowance as we see fit - for us. We are a generation disgruntled about the rising cost of healthcare and a generation that will have a staggering influence on our aging population with an incredible awareness and shift toward prevention. My passion is to promote this awareness.
Eight years ago we ventured into network marketing - Bob left Life Fitness after it sold, his three boys were grown and we were too young to fully retire. I could have "hired" Bob and continued with my consulting business or we could have started several other new but "traditional" businesses. However, we were attracted to the network marketing "lifestyle". Where else could we work together from the comfort of our home, travel around the world and work with other positive-thinking entrepreneurs like ourselves plus write it off as a business expense? Having made this decision, it was just a matter of finding the right network marketing opportunity.
