I started out my career as a minor league baseball player for the Yankees, until I injured my arm. I still love baseball and spent many years playing semi-professional and coaching teams. After getting hurt, I went into the chemical industry, working at a plant for 17 years. My wife Betty and I love meeting people, making new friends and helping others. I felt handcuffed in my job, unable to reach out to others. I was working very hard, but found myself without any real time freedom. Here I was, often working 12-hour days and going for months at a time without a day off in an unsafe environment around chemicals. I started looking for something else.

I'd always wanted my own business, where I could work smart, not just hard. Then I got a phone call that changed our lives forever, introducing me to network marketing. Finally a business that could give me time freedom while putting me in a position to help others. I want to help as many people as possible escape the rut of 40 hours a week for 40 years. Think about how many people want a change, looking for a different way of life like I was. With each call you make, you have the potential to change lives - imagine how powerful that is!

I've been in network marketing full time now since 1995, and for the past couple of years have been searching for the right company, the one with a home run product combined with the right compensation and corporate support. Then I got a call from my good friend Korey Johnson. I'll never forget that call and the excitement in his voice. I'd never heard him so excited - he could hardly talk! When I saw the information on the website and realized the potential to help so many people with Natural Cellular Defense, I got excited. I've learned that it's important not just to contact people once, but to follow up with them. You plant a seed when you speak with them and then nurture it when you follow up. Maybe they weren't ready the first week or first month, but eventually you reap what you sow. I liken it to microwave popcorn…at first you don't hear too many pops, but suddenly it starts popping all the time as your business duplicates.

Don't ever listen to anyone that says it won't work - put that in your fuel tank and use it to keep you going. If you have sponsored one person - you did it once and you can do it again. You just need a few people to get it going. I always say there are four aces in every 52 card deck. Look for the four aces for your Waiora business.

I've already used some of the profits from my Waiora business to put money down on a lot on a private lake! Next year, I plan to build a log cabin there where Betty and I, married for 27 years, will go to relax. I plan to do some fishing there with my three children ages 26, 25 and 21. I also have some property in Fort Myers and I'm looking forward to becoming a 'snowbird' with my Waiora business, spending my winters in the Florida sun.
