While originally I went to school to become a realtor, my personal circumstances shaped my life in a different direction. I'm the eldest of eight children, and after having my son, I wanted to have more children. I had difficulty conceiving, eventually having my daughter 14 years later. I was facing health challenges and doctors told me that my body was filled with toxins. Ultimately, I had to have a hysterectomy. As a result, I became interested in how what we eat affects our health and I began studying the effects of food additives, pesticides and artificial sweeteners. I can't help but imagine how life might have been different if I had access to a detoxification product like Natural Cellular Defense at that time.

My interest in health and nutrition led me to network marketing and the ability to help others through offering wellness products. I heard about Waiora and Natural Cellular Defense on August 11, the birthday of my best friend. She battled breast cancer for over 10 years before losing that fight and leaving three small children behind. Her memory motivates me to do everything that I can to help others. I sold product the very first day I heard about NCD - I just felt like this is what I'm supposed to be doing. When I met Dr. Harvey Kaufman at the Dallas Conference and he told me with such sincerity how he appreciated us getting the word out about the product, I knew I was with the right company at the right time.

My personal experience with NCD has been wonderful. I've been battling acid reflux for the past eight years and was advised by doctors that I would be taking a prescription medication for the rest of my life. Since starting NCD, I've haven't had a reoccurrence of acid reflux! The testimonials I've been hearing have been remarkable. Sharing the product and opportunity are a natural extension of wanting to help people. I make about five or more calls a day mostly to my warm market, sometimes to people I don't know. Many people that have joined have health challenges themselves so I often help them by making calls to their contacts, too. I am so thankful for all the lives we've touched with Waiora.

My business has grown and I achieved Emerald during a time of great personal adversity. My brother passed away on November 17, and my son (still adjusting to life after an oil rig accident) required hospitalization recently due to severe depression. I believe God gives us the strength to handle anything that He sends our way and it's at the most difficult times that you grow the most. I had set goals for my business and through the support of my wonderful husband Herb and the leadership and support of my upline Korey Johnson, I was still able to achieve them.

My husband has been a business owner for over 25 years and he has been so impressed with Waiora because I can have a business without employees, insurance and the other overhead costs associated with a traditional business. I feel blessed that Waiora came into my life and want as many people as possible to share that feeling.

It's so important to believe in yourself and do what you think is right. Don't let anyone hold you back. At times, my siblings aren't supportive of my home based business, but I haven't let that stop me from doing what I know my best friend would count on me to do. I have formed so many wonderful friendships and close relationships with Waiora. I am looking forward to reaching Diamond and nothing's going to hold me back.
