Rick JerrellsI got started in network marketing straight out of college. I know of no other industry where you can start up a business with a small initial investment and turn that into an income of up to $10,000 a month in as little as 90 days. Once you achieve that level of success you don't want to do anything else. The key to success is leveraging other people's time and duplication. At one time I worked in sales for a corporation, and with no prior experience I became number one in sales within six months. But I was working 14 hours a day, seeing 100 people a day. I had no leverage in that business; I was the one putting in all the time.

Network marketing allows you to leverage your time and enjoy a residual income no matter where you are. I joined the military and served for nine years, including active duty in the Gulf War. As a Captain in the Army, my annual salary was $36,000 and it was a 24/7 full-time job. During that same time my part-time network marketing business was generating a $15,000 a month check. It's hard to believe that two months of my network marketing business was equal to one year of my regular salary in the Army.

I've been full-time in network marketing for the past 13 years and semi-retired for the past five years enjoying residual income from the industry. During that time, a good scientist and friend of mine who owns an FDA inspected mineral lab enlightened me to the reality that much of what I'd sold over the years in network marketing was actually contributing to toxicity within the body versus providing nutritional value. I became a passionate advocate for the need to detoxify our bodies, creating an environment for our immune system to do what it's supposed to do.

Then I received a call from my good friend Dave Jordan about Natural Cellular Defense and I was immediately intrigued. If this were just a 'me too' product, similar to what else was out in the market, then I wasn't interested. But Natural Cellular Defense is different to everything else out there. For the first time there is a product that I am excited to share with my family and friends. This isn't a business of selling, it's one of sharing - sharing the stories and testimonies of people whose lives have been changed for the better. To be successful, you have to have a system for everything you do. Our system is simple - first, share information and testimonials - this can be done either by an email, a conference call or the Waiora DVD; second, call and share your story; third, call your upline to do a three-way phone call. With our team using this system, I achieved Diamond in less than five months.

I believe everyone should approach their warm market first. If you found out about a goldmine, would you put an ad in the paper to tell strangers about it or would you tell your friends and family first? That's what the Waiora opportunity is - telling those you know and care about first. I'm not a big believer in Internet marketing because you still have to take the time to build a relationship with that person. It is much faster and more efficient to contact those you already know and have a relationship with. Then, you can develop that relationship further and work to develop them into leaders.

One of the most important roles I have is to look for and develop leaders. I don't look for a certain skill set or previous success - all they need is to have a burning desire and to be teachable. Combined with a good work ethic those elements are the foundation for being a leader. Most of all, look to what the top leaders are doing and emulate their efforts. Do what they do and you will duplicate their success.

While I was attracted to and joined Waiora for the product, I remain because of the quality of the people behind the company and in my organization. In my 21 years of experience in the industry, I've learned that long term success is dependent upon integrity - integrity in the company and integrity in the Distributor base. Waiora has shown me it has a very high standard when it comes to doing what is right.

Over the years, I've seen a great deal of success, achieving financial freedom and everything that comes with it - a nice home, nice cars and the ability to go on vacation when I want. My goals with Waiora include getting my check to $150,000 a month, not for what it can do for me but for what I can do for others. I want to support missions in South America and Asia, helping to build homes for people in areas that need it. Sharing the product for free with those who need it would be incredibly rewarding.
