Renee Stewart-Chittick
As someone who was involved in another network marketing company at the highest levels, I know what it's like to be at the multi-million dollar income level in the industry and what it takes to be successful. I thought that company was where I would spend my life and I never imagined being anywhere else. But over time, the company that I had known and loved for so many years changed beyond recognition. Constant turnover at the management level and changes to the pay plan left me craving the security of a management team that I knew and could trust.
I was first introduced to network marketing in the early 1990s. My husband and I owned several gift stores in Florida and while they had been successful for many years, it was around the early 1990s that the stores began to experience difficulties and our marriage along with them. I hadn't been that involved in the business before, instead spending that time raising our two daughters and being involved in our local community. That was when I got introduced to network marketing, almost by accident. My husband and I divorced – he got the stores and I got the network marketing business.
I found network marketing to be a business that gave me flexibility in my schedule that I couldn't get in a traditional setting. Best of all, it put me in a position to be a positive role model for my daughters. It gave me independence and freedom and that's one of the reasons why I feel an obligation to share this industry with others.
When you achieve a high level of success in the industry you get called by every company under the sun, ready to wine and dine you and wanting you to join. But when I was ready to leave the company I had been with, I knew what I wanted. I wanted a management team that I could trust to have the Distributors' best interests at heart. I also knew the company had to have a consumable product that people would want to take month after month. Nowadays, you can get just about every product imaginable available through network marketing – be it motor oil, greeting cards or travel. But unless you have a consumable product that is used each month you will not have a sustainable income – you'll simply be starting over each month.
I knew Stan Cherelstein and Eddie Stone from the previous company I had been with and I trust them. I know they do things in the right away and that Waiora wouldn't come with any unpleasant surprises. Even so, I didn't join right away – not in the first year or even in the second year. But when I saw the science-driven products they had and that Rik Deitsch led the product formulations, I couldn't hold out any longer. I started on Natural Cellular Defense and found that my allergies improved significantly to the point where I could be around cats for the first time in years. I love how Essential Daily Nutrients allows me to get all my nutrients in one shot and that I don't have to take a handful of pills. And, while I had been on a different fiber product to manage my cholesterol, after starting the Superior Fiber Blend, I not only maintained my cholesterol, I dropped it an additional seven points! These products are unique on the marketplace and consumable.
Having been a multi-million dollar earner at my previous company, I know when the timing is right. And Waiora's timing couldn't be better. I see enormous potential here and I have my sights set on achieving Diamond so that I can participate in the Equity Partnership Program – I feel it would be silly not to take advantage of that one-time equity opportunity.
I want to achieve as much as I did before and then some. I never set out for that before, I just focused on being consistent and I got there. But consistency is the key – you have to carve time out of each day – even just a little bit of time – to tell people about what you've found. The worst thing you can do is stop everything and sit behind your computer and just make calls – it won't be fun. The best thing you can do is be active and involved in life and then tell the people you meet about Waiora.
I am a firm believer in the use of tools. I use tools for everything for two reasons. First, they describe everything for me so that I don't have to know it all. Second, it shows the person I am handing a tool to that they have the time to do this while they're doing something else. So I have a variety of tools – be it CDs or brochures, ready to hand out when I meet someone as I go about my day. Then when they join, I make sure they know everything they need to know and teach them to do the same. If they can't do that, then I help them with it until I find another 'me'. It's that simple.
Joining the Waiora team has felt like coming home. With Jeff Mack and John Haremza, I have discovered the best upline support that eclipses anything I had before. And with Stan and Eddie at the helm of Waiora, I have had the best company support that I have ever experienced. With those combined, I feel like I've joined a family, one that I look forward to calling my own from now on.
