Sidney Bayne
Through the years, I've led a pretty amazing life. I have traveled interesting places and met amazing people. I've taught art and English. I've sold real estate. Then I started my own company, serving as an image and style consultant—helping people develop personal and professional presence. I've worked with large corporate entities to establish professional standards and sales training, and have instructed on the topics of social and dining etiquette. This has not only been an incredible experience, it also has been a very lucrative one. I found myself at a point in my life where I didn't want to keep working so hard, not to mention there was no way to leverage my income or time.
It was also important to me to be able to maintain the lifestyle I love—kayaking, swimming, rollerblading, snow skiing, fly fishing and horseback riding, which is a huge passion of mine. It was time to stop trading time for money and start enjoying life with my wonderful family and amazing friends.
When I was approached to join Waiora, I couldn't have been happier. It was great to be reunited with individuals like Stan, Eddie, John, Richard, Rik, Jeff and Renee. These were not only people I trusted and respected, but this was also a business opportunity that I knew was built with integrity. As if the call from Renee wasn't enough to get my attention, I was incredibly impressed to hear that Waiora was debt-free and profitable after only two years.
My product experience strengthened my resolve. It was nice to break free of your “run of the mill vitamins” with Natural Cellular Defense and Essential Daily Nutrients. Not only was my health improving and my allergies disappearing, but also I knew that these products in addition to Superior Fiber Blend were like inexpensive life insurance.
Waiora was a natural fit to the niche I had been supporting for decades. Through the years I'd worked very hard to help my clients look wonderful and feel self confident –even to the point where I would take them shopping, turn their closet into their personal boutique after building a wardrobe that would allow them to look stylish and feel confident for any occasion. Now I can also provide products that will help them stay healthy and feel great. My Waiora business gave me an excuse not just to talk to my good friend Renee everyday, it also gave me a reason to reach out and reconnect with my clients, contacts and friends, some of whom I had not talked to in years.
With blind faith, I ordered my Essential Daily Nutrients PaceSetter Pack and got to work. Sharing the products with everyone I came in contact with including a massage therapist, with whom I left a bottle of Essential Daily Nutrients and the magazine “Your Business at Home.” The next day she and her mother both joined Waiora and became PaceSetters. I'm reaching out to clients, contacts, and old friends and having tremendous success. My passion is fueled not just by the desire to live my life on my own terms, but also a moral and social obligation to share Natural Cellular Defense with everyone I meet.
I've been very fortunate to have been offered great business advice. For starters, plan your business efforts each day. Stephen Covey said “Begin with the end in mind.” Develop your goals for the year and work backwards to identify what your monthly, weekly and daily goals should be. Take a few minutes to plan your day the night before. Sit down and make a list of everyone you'll contact—every DVD you'll send and call you'll make. Even more importantly, do what you say you'll do. If you promise to put a DVD in the mail, to schedule a 3-way-call or to conduct a group presentation, honor those commitments. And when you follow up, make sure you're not impatient with someone who doesn't recognize the opportunity. Not everyone wants to do this business, so remove your ego from the equation and think of your Waiora business as your opportunity to do someone a favor—improve their health, improve their financial situation and even enhance their social lives.
My success in this business is largely due to the commitment of my team, who have stayed the course and remained committed to the opportunity. I am grateful to them for their efforts and support.
There's so much I love about this business. I love reconnecting with old friends. I also love the friendships which have been extended to me through my team. It has not only bolstered my belief in what the future holds, but it also has left me with a very secure feeling. I enjoy working for myself—not by myself. There's something to be said for picking who I want to work with. I have wonderful friends and business partners—and there's such camaraderie through every level of the organization. I truly believe this is one of the finest business models in the world, and I get to share it every day with people who are open-minded and bright enough to get it.
To someone new to Waiora, I strongly recommend that you stay in touch with your upline on a daily basis. Don't be afraid that you're bothering them—most will appreciate your drive, interest and passion, and will be more than happy to help. Write down your goals and share them with your upline. Keep in mind this doesn't need to be just your sponsor, but it should be anyone from your upline who can assist, advise and mentor you as you begin your business building efforts.
