I joined in February of 2007, and even then, I had doubts about whether Waiora would be the company that could allow me to rediscover my dreams. Before Waiora, I had been with another network marketing company for many years and while I was very successful, that changed overnight when the company radically altered the compensation plan (and my paycheck with it). The bitterness and distrust from that experience were still fresh in my mind. So much so that when I joined Waiora, at first I didn't even tell my wife as I knew she would have concerns and reservations about pursuing another opportunity.
One phone call changed everything. Jeff Mack called to tell me about Waiora and the great things that were happening there. He told me about Natural Cellular Defense and gave me information on the liquid zeolite. I was amazed to see the effectiveness and life-changing results that so many people were experiencing. This was a unique mineral that could provide a natural means to rid the body of the toxins we are exposed to everyday.
I have a personal interest in sharing the importance of preventive health and wellness. Six years ago, I was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. After extensive chemotherapy and radiation, my cancer was gone. But the side effects from the treatment were very difficult and the recuperation period was extensive. That time gave me the opportunity to reflect on how I could use my experience to help others and I committed to sharing health discoveries as they emerged. Without a doubt, Natural Cellular Defense is the most important health discovery of our generation.
While I was excited about the product, I had doubts about committing to the business, so Jeff encouraged me to attend the National Conference in Orlando in March 2007. I owned up to my wife that I had joined and we flew across the world to closely investigate the Waiora opportunity. I am glad that we did! At the conference I spent time with both Stan Cherelstein and Eddie Stone one-on-one where I learned of their vision, direction and commitment. I met with Rik Deitsch and learned first-hand how the liquid zeolite works and the potential for it to impact millions. I spent time with John Haremza and was impressed by his humility, personality and leadership. I went to Orlando with doubts and left with a conviction - a belief that I had to share with others.
When I returned to Japan, I started to share that conviction with other people. Each day, I heard so many stories and testimonials about Natural Cellular Defense. It was an unbelievable feeling to hear so many life-changing results. The speed with which Natural Cellular Defense works is wonderful not just for the way it helps people but it is also a key to the growth and success of my group. With other nutritional products, it can take up to six months or more to feel a difference. With Waiora's Not-for-Resale (NFR) program in Japan (and other countries), the company provides full support and infrastructure so that members can simply focus on sharing the opportunity and product with others. That was not the case with my previous company – we had to ship the product and provide the member support ourselves! I have found Waiora's management to be open to suggestions and feedback. At times, Stan has asked directly what we want or need to continue our growth. Being asked for input shows that Waiora believes ours to be a partnership and that they listen. What a difference that makes!
Waiora's support allows each of us the opportunity to focus on building the business in preparation for when Waiora will officially open an office in Japan. Being an On-the-Ground (OTG) company will pave the way for even greater growth and success.
From my previous experience, I learned that sometimes it does not matter how hard the Distributors work – the company can break it – whether by mismanagement, negative changes to the compensation plan, or arrogant leadership. I have seen so many bad uplines in the past that I have been taught what not to do! Because of these factors, it is so important to carefully evaluate the company you join. Having closely examined Waiora and the company leaders I can tell you it feels great to work with such good people - Stan, Eddie, Rik, John and Jeff.
After joining Waiora, I realized all my bad experiences were just steps on my path to success with Waiora and I was able to let go of the past. Now I can focus on the bright future that Waiora provides. While we have achieved success, it's only the beginning of what's to come!
