Dean Nunneley

You could say I've always had an entrepreneurial spirit. Being my own boss and controlling my destiny is something that's always appealed to me. I studied architecture in school, and I've owned my own custom home building company for more than 25 years. That said, I can honestly say that while most people who are financially free own their own business, not everyone who owns their own business is financially free. As a matter of fact, I'm willing to bet most people who own their own business aren't financially free, or free in any sense of the word. When you own your own business, whether in construction, retail or the service industries, you're faced with more work, more responsibility and more risk - taking the chance of making nothing or even losing everything.


I loved designing all my housing projects, but I just needed something more. No way would I work for someone else. I didn't want to quit my business or buy someone else's, and I definitely didn't want to go back to school. That's why the leveraged opportunity of network marketing with Waiora was so attractive. I wanted to grab hold of something I could control without investing a lot of money or time. That was four years ago, and I haven't looked back since. Today I make a high six figure income with Waiora and can say I am truly creating freedom in every sense of the word.

Network marketing, as a way of doing business, is perfect for most people because a person can take advantage of snippets of time here and there and build a profitable business. Most businesses require blocks of time at night or weekends but with Waiora, you can be productive by spending 15 minutes here and 20 minutes there because all we are doing is sifting for interest.

By sifting, I mean that we are only looking for the right fit, not trying to force it to fit. I only look for people who want more out of life, are willing to do something to get it and want it now. People make the mistake of getting emotionally attached to a persons answer rather than simply being attached to the process. My goal is not to get "the yes" but simply to get "the answer".

Most peoples prospecting style reminds me of dating - bending over backwards trying to be exactly what the person wants so as to sell them on who you are, just to find out later that after doing a great job of selling, you are now stuck with someone that is not a good fit and you've wasted all that time. Be honest about who we are and don't sweat the 'no' people. They're actually doing you a favor by letting you know now.

One of the most encouraging things about Waiora is that there's an answer to many peoples concern of "I don't know if I can do this." We are a team of like-minded people ready to help build your business. Whatever you may see as your weakness is readily filled by a team member who considers that to be their strength. It's not necessary or even recommended to go it alone. Why try to figure it out on your own when others have already done it? You have to let go of that lone ranger mentality. The key is tying into your team, your upline and use the system to your advantage.

Another great thing about network marketing is that you're in complete control. When you run your own business you're controlled by so many other variables like bankers, the economy and even the weather. You can be the best construction business in town, but if the economy is going backwards, you're going broke. I can't even work when it rains. On the flip side, with network marketing, when the economy is doing well, network marketing does well because there is a lot of money around, and when the economy is bad, network marketing does even better because there are more people looking for an opportunity. I'm often asked, "How can people afford these products when things are so tight?" That question simply tells me that that person is probably not who I am looking for. I'm not looking for the person who sees the cost of a product but that person that sees the opportunity of a lifetime. Customers are great and essential but my search is for business partners.

Lastly, there are few areas in life where you can do something once and get paid for it over and over. That's what network marketing can deliver, providing you have consumable products that people want to purchase again and again. Personally, I have no desire to build this business unless I can count on it paying me for many years in the future for the efforts I put in today.
