Doug GriffithDoug is an EMERALD CLUB leader with Waiora, and lives in Fresno, California with his wife Christine. When not spending time with his family, or hard at work on his Waiora business, he in the garage restoring his classic cars.Waiora has been my inspiration through this economy. It kept everything going. It’s what’s paid the bills. It is vital for people to have a “Plan B.” If Marcy Littlejohn hadn’t shared Waiora with us, I don’t know where we’d be right now. We were running a limousine business that had been doing quite well. In fact, First Class Limousine was voted Best of Fresno 2008. By July of 2008, however, our limo business screeched to a halt, as if someone shut the faucet completely off. I went from three cell phones ringing off the hook for limousine jobs to nothing. We thought we’d had a plan and everything was on track, but we were wrong. Our limo business plan was derailed. The economy changed everything. The good thing was our phones were ringing for Waiora. I began treating my Waiora business as a business. I started doing presentations and calls and really figuring out how to make it work. Then last year, we were on a call with Eddie Stone, and he commented that, at the rate our group was growing, we would do over a million dollars in volume this year. And we went for it! Like everyone else, we faced lots of challenges, but everyone who stuck to their goals and stayed the course, always hit their marks. The bonuses have been huge, in that they really motivate people to go after that extra enrollment. The Reward Trip points and the bonus points rev people up, which in turn encourages others to go for it. Getting to convention is a key. I was already in Waiora to win it, but it is at National Convention each year where my vision gets bigger. It is a huge launching pad for our business. The most important thing is working as a team. I owe special thanks to Yeu & Geena Cha, Sherrie Olp and Howard & Judy Smith. Working together and encouraging one another, keeps the momentum strong. Waiora is a company that truly wants us to succeed. They give us the tools to do it, the encouragement to get it done and absorb all the risk. The overhead on my limo business cost us $46K per month, whether we moved a car or not. But with Waiora, all we have to do is get out there and do our part—share. As for Eddie’s prediction of hitting the one million mark in a year, we did it. I can’t wait till our team has a million dollar month. The opportunity to help people literally become “more,” whatever it is for them, getting out of their job, getting in front of people, improving their health, making more a month is incredible. For us to be able to succeed, risk little and have so much to gain is amazing! Waiora's success stories and testimonials are provided to Waiora by its Members and customers.
